How to do Sutra Neti, Benefits and Precautions

In the practice of shatkarmas kriya, there is a popular and effective exercise which is stura neti. In the ancient textbook “Gehrand Samhita v 50-51” neti kriya also mentioned about sutra neti.
There is a need of special type of neti to do stura neti. In yoga teacher training program you will get neti by yoga schools.

Sutra Neti happens in two ways. There is one which we called also sutra neti. It contains a bunch of cotton threads.There is wax coated on its front part so that it can easily go into the nose.And the other part is left as it is.

The other one is called Rubber Neti. In generally people use rubber neti for this shatkarma kriya.

When Neti is inserted into the nose, it pulls out all the foreign fluids and mucus stuck inside and brings it out through the mouth.

2. Do Kapalbhatti after Sutra neti to throw left mucus or water in nasal.
